It sounded like Dan said he'd like a job in heating and air conditioning. I saw an ad in the Beacon that said Blind & Son in Barberton is hiring.

Thanks for your service, Dan.

Alot of people need jobs NOT just this veteran and his wife.
Do they have children???

Im very honored that he served his country but should that make him anymore specal in the hunt for a job than say someone out of work with children?

Its nice to know that you are trying to help this veteran and his family but it makes me feel like I dont matter in the hunt for a job.
I had been at my job for 10yrs when I was laid off. Now im in the process of also looking for work and trying to feed my children on what I recieve from unemployment and working part time at the only job I could get--McDonalds.

True, a lot of people are out of work, but this story was about him and his wife being out of work, not the general public.

We should feel very honored that he served our country. In my book, that does make him special. We should hold our military in high esteem since they are putting their lives on the line. If that means giving favor to them in a job search, so be it.

Maybe the 2nd anonymous could network with those in his previous field of work, just like Dan and Eric did, to help him find a job instead of taking a "what about me?" approach.

Perhaps Eric can profile more than just veterans needing work.

10% of Summit County is unemployed, just because they didn't serve, doesn't make them any less worthy of being profiled.
