Stow actress hits big screen again and again

I got a call today from a very proud father.

Ronald Keeling is pretty excited for his daughter's latest big screen role. Haley Bennett plays the character of "Kendall" in the upcoming movie College, which hits the big screens this weekend. (photo courtesy: fanunity.com)

Bennett is a graduate of Stow High School, and her filmography includes a role in Music & Lyrics (see photo courtesy: actressarchives.com) which featured Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.

College probably won't win any Oscars, as its description adds it to the ongoing genre of college men in pursuit of campus co-eds, but it should be entertaining .. and should allow Bennett to show off her personality. To be honest, Drake Bell of the Disney Channel's Drake & Josh is the only actor in the movie I've ever heard of .. but he should be enough to sell some tickets.

Just as College comes out of theaters, Bennett will be back in the title role of The Haunting of Molly Hartley due out at Halloween. She'll play a high school senior who moves to a small town only to have her past haunt her.

Again, not an original story line, but it's still strong enough for the big screen .. and should be yet another chance for Stow's own to shine and hopefully launch her to even better roles .. and keep a big smile on a proud father's face.
