Will the jurors send Bobby Cutts to a death sentence? Or will they give him the benefit of the doubt and spare his life?
We'll find out beginning Monday .. when the penalty phase of his trial begins.
In the meantime, I wonder what the masses think .. I wonder what the rest of the community feels is right .. I'm wondering what you think.
Feel free to vote in the poll to the left .. and leave or email me your thoughts ...
On Sunday night/Monday morning, I'll post the thoughts from both sides .. and we'll see where we as a community really are on this highly polarizing issue.

Voting No -- am against the death penalty for anybody, even in this despicable case.
I am not sure.I used to be really pro death penalty. Now I am not so sure - because it gives the guilty an easy way out, they dont have to sit around and think about what they have done.
But if someone did deserve it, this would probably be the case.
He needs to be put to death. To kill your son's mother in front of the child and leave him alone for more than 24 hours is not someone who deserves to live. Why should my tax money support this loser for life.

As much of a scumbag I think he is, I still oppose giving him "the needle" at Lucasville.
I agree with Ben; to me it also is the easy way out for a convicted murderer. The family of Jessie Davis and Chloe have to live with what Bobby Cutts Jr. did for the rest of their lives; why shouldn't he?
To me, capital punishment does little more than fulfill a base impulse for revenge and retribution. I don't see the death penalty as a way of administering justice.
I believe Cutts' will be spared in this case, primarily because the coroner was not able to definitively determine cause of death. That's just enough wiggle room to get out of the death penalty in my mind.
That being said, I hope he never sees the light of day again and that the rest of his life in prison is a living hell.
People seem to be so concerned with Cutts having to live with what he did. First of all, he says he did nothing wrong, so he wont be dealing with it in prison. Second, he will still sit in prison for years and years, sponging off the taxpayers anyway.
Based on the pure heinosity (from the GW Bush Dictionary) of his crimes, he should get the chair the day after the jury hands down their decision.
